Advantage Newspaper Consultants (ANC) wrapped up a highly successful Total Audience Sales Campaign in November 2024, surpassing its revenue goal and demonstrating the effectiveness of its targeted sales strategy. The campaign covered three Adams Publishing Group newspapers in Eastern North Carolina with a combined circulation of around 10,500: the Daily Advance in Elizabeth City, The Perquimans Weekly in Hertford, and The Chowan Herald in Edenton.
With an initial goal of $45,000, the campaign outperformed expectations, bringing in $72,112 in total revenue. The success of the program was largely due to the newspaper sales teams scheduled quality appointments with decision-makers, the engaging visual aids provided by ANC, and a tailored market strategy, orchestrated by ANC Media Analyst John Rechkemer, which maximized sales opportunities. The 81% close percentage was a testament to the exceptional teamwork.
The Eastern North Carolina Total Audience Program packages included display ads from business card-sized ads up to full page, as well as online impressions. The bundled packages were sold in annual contracts with discounts for high-frequency advertisers. Over 20 packages were sold, with the 1/4-page monthly package being the most popular.
